Local company, McAree Engineering were justifiably proud last week to have achieved the Certification of CE Marking (EN1090) up to and including Execution Class 2 (EXC2).
With many of their customers working within the construction industry, McAree’s understood the requirement to be able to provide CE ready profiles that conform to the BS EN 1090-1 standard. To this end, they underwent extensive auditing and implemented a new Factory Production Control system in order to comply with the new rules set out by the Construction Products Regulation (CPR).
The CE mark is a recognised standard of quality in fabricated structural steel and together with the already operational quality standard ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001, it has further enhanced their capabilities. It helps ensure that their customers receive high quality engineering solutions with the required technical back up.
This EN1090 certification is especially important to McAree Engineering as it makes them one of a only a few laser cutting services companies in Ireland to be able to supply CE marked structural steel manufacturers.
