Mobility XL, the specialist lifting solutions and vehicle access manufacturer, has teamed up with Autolift S.r.l. to provide a wider range of lifting solutions for the personal mobility, care, and general passenger transport sectors in the UK and Ireland.

Specialising in the design and manufacture of mechanical and electro-hydraulic lifts and ramps for ambulances, PSVs, train stations, goods handling and wheelchair access, Mobility XL will work with Autolift S.r.l. to bolster sales and support services while offering Autolift’s existing products including cassette, underfloor and semi-automatic retractable lifts.

According to Mobility XL, the new partnership will combine the strengths of both companies to supply new and existing customers with a greatly expanded product portfolio and much-expanded support network.

Both parties said they are excited about the new alliance, which not only brings a more comprehensive range of lifting solutions to the UK and Ireland, but also adds a further operational hub in St Helens to complement the existing Mobility XL support network.

As a division of XL Global Group, the multi-faceted engineering, safety systems and data control provider, Mobility XL works closely with sister company Access XL and draws from its engineering, fabrication and market-leading commercial lift solutions. These include multi-deck, column and retractable lifts for operators, retailers and vehicle manufacturers in the UK, Ireland, Middle East and Americas.

“Through this new partnership,” added Mobility XL Managing Director, Paul Hemingway, “we are now able to supply and service 85-90 per cent of all general lifting equipment requirements for the UK and Ireland.”

Based in Aberdeen, and first established in 1992, XL Global Group comprises a range of software, IT, equipment supply, manufacturing, fabrication, electrical engineering and calibration service businesses operating across a number of countries including the UK, North America and the Middle East.
