Wonderware UK and Ireland, a division of industrial automation and computing specialist SolutionsPT, has launched SmartGlance, a mobile app that delivers up-to-the-minute critical plant data reports and analysis directly to the user’s smartphone.
Secure cloud-based report generation and delivery ensures plant data can be viewed on the move. The app works with Wonderware Historian and other data sources. Suitable for the process, power and manufacturing industries, SmartGlance combines smartphones and cloud computing. Data from the plant’s SCADA system is sent to the cloud, where it can be accessed by users with devices running Apple or BlackBerry operating systems. The app converts this data into easily interpretable reports that can be viewed anywhere and at any time.
